Busbar troubleshooting principle

The signs of bus failure are bus protection action (such as bus difference, etc.), switch tripping, and sound, light, and signals caused by faults.

When the power failure of the busbar fails, the on-site duty personnel shall immediately conduct an external inspection of the busbar with power failure, and report the inspection result to the duty dispatcher promptly. The duty dispatcher shall deal with it according to the following principles:

1. It is not allowed to forcibly transmit power to the faulty bus without inspection to prevent the accident from expanding.


2. If the fault point is found and can be quickly isolated, after the fault point is isolated, the power transmission to the power failure bus should be restored quickly. When conditions permit, external power should be considered to power the power failure bus, and the connection line should be prevented from non-synchronized closing.


3. If the fault point is found but cannot be isolated quickly, if a group of busbars in the double busbar is faulty, the components on the faulty busbar should be checked quickly. The route should prevent asynchronous closing.


4. When the fault point cannot be found after inspection, the external power supply should be used to test the fault bus. In case of power plant busbar fault, if the power supply allows, the busbar can be boosted from zero, generally, the power plant is not allowed to test power transmission to the faulty busbar with its own power supply.


5. When a group of busbars in the double busbar is faulty, when the generator is used to boost the faulty busbar, or when the external power supply is used to test the faulty busbar, or the external power supply is used to first receive power on the busbar that has isolated the fault point. When the bus differential protection is used, attention should be paid to the operation mode of the bus differential protection, and the bus differential protection should be disabled if necessary.


6.3/2 If the busbar of the wiring is faulty, the fault point cannot be found after inspection or the fault point has been found and isolated, and the power supply of this station can be used to test the power transmission. The test switch must be in good condition and have complete relay protection, and the bus differential protection should have sufficient sensitivity.

Regulations on the treatment of power plants and multi-power substations after the busbar loses power

Power plant and substation bus power loss refers to the failure of the bus itself and the loss of power supply. The basis for judging the bus power loss is that the following phenomena occur at the same time:

1. The voltmeter indication of the busbar disappears.

2. The outgoing lines of the bus and the transformer load disappear (the ammeter and power meter indicate zero).

3. The power supplied by the busbar or the power used by the plant is lost.

After the power plant busbar loses power, you should immediately turn off all the switches that may come in. When conditions permit, use the unit of the factory to boost the busbar zero-start, and restore the power plant (or unit) to be parallel with the system at the same time after success.

For the loss of power to the bus of a multi-power substation, when it is confirmed that the reason for the failure of the bus is not caused by the fault of the bus of the substation, in order to prevent the sudden power supply of each power supply causing non-synchronization, the on-site personnel should handle it according to the following requirements:

1. A power switch should be reserved for a single bus, and all other switches (including main transformer and feeder switches) should be opened.

2. For double busbars, the bus tie switch should be opened first, and then only one main power switch should be reserved on each group of busbars, and all other switches (including main transformer and feeder switches) should be opened.

3. If there is only one power switch on the power failure bus that can be operated in parallel, this switch is generally not used as the reserved main power switch.

4. After the bus of the substation loses power, the reserved main power switch shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Power System Dispatching Regulations".
